About Us

Dr Lachlan James is the Founder and Director of ForceLab. He is an Associate Professor and Sport Scientist at La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia.

Lachlan has published over 60 peer reviewed articles including 35 as first or senior author. He currently supervises 9 PhD students with research projects in the AFL, NRL, Super Rugby, Queensland Academy of Sport, the Victoria Institute of Sport and with VALD Performance.

Prior to entering academia, Lachlan spent 10 years in professional practice as a strength and conditioning coach and applied sport scientist.

Lachlan is accredited with ESSA (ASpSci-L2) and ASCA (PL-2)
